Fish On! Skiatook lake today got off to a slow windy start in 40ft of water with massive schools of hybrids all around us. Broke two lines on hybrids which made me a little upset. Caught 2 more so that helped a little Just couldn't get them to bite. Checked 30ft of water and they moved off and wouldn't even come near the boat, the ones that did didn't bite. Moved to 55ft of water and they was real hungry caught all those quickly then move off when it was done. Located another awesome group of them on a roadbed in 42ft and again they moved away. Caught one anyhow and one didn't hook up. We decided to go clean fish before it got any hotter. Thank you Les for bringing out your wife and choosing my service your a good man and a true fisherman. Fish On! Sooner Lake. If you want to do a unique Oklahoma Walleye trip I currently have the 7th of July open. Yep no joke you don't have to go to Canada to get them. Thanks Kent for choosing my service for Saugeye fishing. We rolled out to the first stop and got a fish on pretty much instantly and others followed it to the surface as we scooped it up, always a good sign they was real hungry. We caught 40 to 50 saugeye today and got our 2 man limit on them. Fishing 15 to 30ft of water and 20ft seemed to be the sweet spot today. I'm on them. Book online at fishonok.com or I can book it for you just call or text me at 918-724-6786 and get ready to fish on! Also doing Keystone and Skiatook trips for Striper, Hybrid Striper, Catfish. I'll be starting Crappie trips in a couple weeks. This date for the 7th could work for that as well.

Fish On! Skiatook Lake today, fishing live bait was best on downlines and freelines. Nothing was hitting cut bait today and we didn't catch any catfish or sandbass and every thing would push away from boat so nothing on sonar to speak of. Overall they could take it or leave it attitude. Tough bite. We did pretty good anyway. We caught 6 of them on freelines in 40ft of water, then I found more in 55 to 60ft of water and they was taking downlines only. It was out over open water and the fish was hanging 30 to 40ft but they would follow the chum down to bottom and that is where I had to set the baits. Fish were just randomly running up and down a ridge I'd see two or three at a time every now and then and I called a lot of the bites before they happened looking at livescope. We had fun. Good memories. Thanks Richard for coming back to see me and checking out Skiatook Lake and Catching some BIG Hybrid stripers up to 7lbs today!! Everyone of them fought like a horse on a line. We was 2 short of a 3man limit but we had 3 or more that didn't hook up. They bit soft and slow when they bit at all. It was tough.

Fish On! Riding thru another trip to Sooner Lake. Saugeye bite was not on fire but they were good enough. I was a bust on the first try but regrouped and got on them. Boated at least 15 fish or more with 3 over the size limit one real nice 19" saugeye. For sooner that's saying something on a 4hr voyage. Got plenty of perch to eat as well. Called it good quickly. If you have any of these trips scheduled with me bear in mind they don't bite like any other fish and it takes time and patience with a gentle steady hand to get them. I went back out today and located some nice schools in 8 to 15ft of water, I have to use rod and reels for locator it's kind of a slow process but large groups of them will lend a few keepers. Bait schools are hatched out and looking phenomenal again this year. There are some very large beeeder Shad that have grown beyond being food for any predators that are doing a great job of keeping the lake populated with Shad. Most of the fish I'm catching this year are nice and fat. Thanks Mark for choosing my service!
