Fish On! Keystone Lake 1/15/25 Thanks Howard for booking with my service. We found 18 nice size blues today up to 22lbs hanging around some trees in 33ft of water, Then headed up to 8ft of water and got another 15 to top off our 2 man limit. Fishing larger cut shad on anchor. Larger fish were biting better than smaller ones today. There’s going to be another cold snap starting Saturday and I’ll resume trips once we get back above freezing end of next week probably about Thursday the 23rd and 24th. Also 27 thru 31st is open this month if anyone wants to get out and check it out. Long as the fishing stays good I’ll stay on em New cooler is working great.

I just wanted to make sure they were still biting and indeed caught quality size fish every stop from 8ft to 35ft the lake has dropped a lot in the past week about 4ft would be my guess. Water temps were 38/40 degrees. Shad seemed to have moved out of the shallow coves and into deeper water and scattered up and down the lake. Likewise the catfish are strung out up and down the lake as well. Fishing was good.

We were well on our way to catching over 100 and could have if we just sat there longer. 75 catfish were caught, we didn’t keep everything. We got them caught, cleaned bagged and headed home in a 6hour time frame. I’ll just go on and say it Keystone for now is offering some of the best catfish action Ive ever seen just to be out fishing open water in a lake. We put in the work, no time for snacks today. Fish On! 1/2/25 Keystone today. I had the pleasure of having Leon Jesse and his wife on the boat today and it was a one stop shop I just picked up where I left off yesterday they didn’t move much. 12ft of water fishing mid lake in a shad hatchery. Once we boxed our limit of 60 we headed to clean fish in just 3.5 hours. Needless to say we doubled and tripled up a whole lot. They were super aggressive getting started at one point we had six rods in the boat with fish flopping lol we cleaned them today because fish don’t go to waste with Leon and that’s a darn fact. I think we only had three overs today. But I really wasn’t fishing for overs either. Sent home 13 gallons of fish. I’ve got openings after the 12th just call me or text me and we’ll get you on the calander and get that freezer stocked up or just go out there and have fun catching them. I wouldn’t be afraid to book one because even if it’s icy or we can’t fish I refund or reschedule. It’s been a pretty special event this season. Fishing is real good on Keystone. We’re not really catching any small fish everything is big enough to clean and they’ve got a lot of weight on them they’ve been feeding heavy and getting fat. Book 24/7 at fishonok.com.
