Fish On! Checking out Keystone today with Shane and family. Big thanks. We started in the rain and first stop produced a lot of nice fish, once the weather front cleared we would pick up a few on each stop but the bite was a lot slower. We fished 12 to 25ft with cut shad and overall was about the same. Lake is up and muddy. Probably won't stay that way too long unless more rain comes in that drainage basin. Book anytime on fishonok.com or 918-724-6786 we shoulda made him pick up a big fish lol. 3 to 7 lbs is biting and the real tiny and real large ones not so much. Good photo we worked hard for them got 20.
Fish On! We loaded up and went to Oologah today to get my uncle Lowell for some crappie. James and his daughter tagged along. Usually more anglers the better on any of the trips. More bait and more lips getting ripped. We covered the south end of the lake following my usual summertime pattern and everything was pretty good. We caught 40 of them along with a big fat head catfish. Fishing minnows and small Shad on brush. It's real good right now and will get even better seriously. We had plenty big enough make ya jump and get a net real quick. In fact small fish didn't bite good most everything we got was a keeper. For sure it's time to book a crappie trip with me. https://www.fishonok.com/book-trip.html or 918-724-6786 I'm also doing good on sandbass and catfish at Keystone. And Saugeye is still an option at Sooner. We seen a bunch of sandbass blowing up here today, and they disappeared fast as they appeared. I perfer keystone on sandbass it's got stripers and it's not so big a lake.
Fish On back to keystone today. I decided to change tactics since the water level jumped 6ft and large areas of lake got muddy, bait moved fish moved everything I had going moved. I got some bait and we fished flats at 25 to 27ft today and caught over 25 nice blue cat, flat head and a couple channel cat, I was pleased with the size and the action was good enough to keep you sitting around and changing baits. . I took windows off the boat they been hanging around to help people up and down the step but it's unlikely they ever go back on the boat. Blind spots were bad.
Fish On! I took some time off for vacation and we just stayed home and getting some much needed time off. Loaded James and his grandson up today to cast some artificials on Keystone. We found them good on the 3rd stop. Fishing 9 to 13ft of water. White perch are real thick on Keystone this year. Sandbass are there with them tho. I was reeling in a white perch and a 12lb hybrid ate fish lure and all and decided to unreel some line. We got him in and made my personal best on Hybrid. Reel nice fish. Lots of nice sandbass too. Catching every cast. Everything and anything you could expect on a guided fishing trip. So heres to the folks that want to catch sandbass and hybrids. I'm on them good. I'm on Catfish good and I'll go get the striper too. Saugeye fishing is going real good and I can get you a limit of crappie on demand. So yep I'd book a trip get up early and go get it done. Got a real Nice Luxury boat seating up to 6 passengers comfortably. Call me. 918-724-6786 flat tore em up in short order today.
Dom covered a trip to Keystone for me so I could stay on track with my vacation time. They caught some real nice catfish up to 15 lbs. Thanks Taylor for choosing fish on guide service and Thanks Dom for covering the trip. Fish and Bait are shallow again :)
