Fish On!! March 16, Keystone Lake, blue catfish and we topped off that 150 quart cooler again but it wasn’t as easy as yesterday. Fishing conditions were rough not enough wind in my opinion. But we worked harder and put 25 adult cats in the boat up to 15lbs. There was a lot of boats out today. If you are a online platform calendar and shows booked David, Rodney, and some of my other friends have openings so call me anyway. We did pretty good in 14 to 18 foot of water. Thank you Teresa for coming back to check it out. Mostly 14 to 20ft of water. Water temperature was running about 50°
Fish On! March 15, 2025, Keystone again we set out to target blue cats and we got it done a one stop shop in fact. We got them up to 9 1/2 pounds but no tens. We tried some Striper a little bit but they seemed off for some reason we caught two of them anyhow on catfish rigs excellent fishing today in 6 foot of water. We had 47 keepers including those Striper. And we had a big trophy fish got under the boat wrapped around the rear prop and broke off on us. I would have liked to have the picture of that one we would’ve thrown it back anyway we had so many fish. Big thank you Travis for booking my service and checking it out!!!! I got to thinking in the last five years that’s the only catfish that broke a line on me. At a glance the only days I have open is the second and the 16th of next month. And I’ve got guide friends we can ask and probably get your date so just be sure to call me! Thanks
Fish On! 3-12-25 Keystone Lake. Client friend Harold called to buy a fishing trip and we got him out there he wanted to catch his big personal best which scared me. But I’ll be darn he’s got good luck he got it on the second Fish that sucker wrapped down a rod and ripped down side of boat. 21 pound blue cat. We caught a fat 8 pound striper and another small striper on catfish rigs. The bite died off we moved up shallow and just insanity limited out quickly and we both went home with fish to eat!
Fish On! 3-11-25 Fishonok.com Keystone Lake today. Water temperature 47. We got on striped bass pretty good on the last outing so I wanted to come back and check that out and that’s what we did. Loaded up some friends and we got both species located. And we caught both species and had a good time enjoying the beautiful weather and catching some fish nothing to write home about on volume but we got a mess of stripers. There’s a ton of them! Sonar just stays lit now and they’re hanging around the boat and showing interest. It was difficult to get them to bite today and they’re still moving a little slow. We got the Striper best in 28 to 33 foot of water. And the catfish were hanging out 18 to 15 feet. If you’re interested in trying the Striper I think I’ve got one day open this month that I could book. Catfish were on good today and striper pretty slow. The lake come up a few inches on water level but the water don’t look too bad. It’s a couple of foot over normal. Biggest striper was 7lbs. 1 gallon of fresh cold bass fillets. Caught them on live bait and down lines small medium and large shad.
