Fort Gibson

03-10-19: FISH ON!!!  I took Colby and friends today to Fort Gibson to catch some Spoonbill and Catfish. We caught two Spoonbill in the first minute and had boated 8 in the first hour and half. We decided to go Catfishing and found them pretty quick also. We found the Spoonbill in 30fow, were caught pulling dviers biggest was 40lbs. We caught the Catfish in 25fow some on live bait and some on cut bait. Most of those were just cleaners. Biggest was 4lbs. Water temp. is 43degs. See my Facebook page for pics.

Fort Gibson Spoonbill

03-07-19: FISH ON!!! Bob and I made a trip today to Fort Gibson looking for some Spoonbill/Paddlefish and Catfish. The Spoonbill were really stacked up. First pass or two we had a hard time getting both poles out. Nothing very big. All were males, biggest was about 40lbs. We switched gears and went looking for some Catfish. They were alittle more scattered. We did catch a reel good mess though but we had to move  a couple times. They did not want cut bait they only wanted small live Shad. The Spoonbill were caught using divers in about 25fow. Catfish were caught in 20fow on lines cast out from boat on live Shad. Water temp. was 41 degs. See my Facebook page for pics.

Fort Gibson Spoonbill

03-02-19: FISH ON Keith, Larry and I made a quick trip to Fort gibson this morning looking for some Spoonbill. We found them pretty quick in about 30fow. It was non stop action catching till we all got tired. We had a double also. The Spoonbill were real bunch up and stacked up. They were running water and that seems too move them up stream some. Water temp. was 43 degs. Our biggest was 45lbs. All were males and one was banded. We caught them all trolling divers going about 4mph. See my Facebook page for pics.

Oologah Fishing Guides report

02-26-19: FISH ON !!!!   Rick and I made a trip to Oologah today looking for some Blues and Spoonbill. We started off with the Spoonbill caught 4 then moved on to the Blues. We had to make two stops til we found them, but they were gathered up pretty good. We caught all of our Blues on fresh caught cut Shad in 20fow. Biggest Blue was 18lbs. We caught the Spoonbill in 35fow trolling with divers. Our biggest Spoonbill was a nice female that weighed 50lbs. Water temp. is 41 degs. See my Facebook page for pics.

Fort Gibson Spoonbill

02-20-19: Fish On. We had a reel good day today on Fort Gibson fishing for Spoonbill and Catfish.. John and Lousie caught their Spoonbill and decided they had enough of that so we went Catfshing and found those pretty quick. All of the Spoonbill were caught trolling divers in 30 to 35fow. biggest Spoonbill was a female weighing 48lbs. We caught the Catfish in 25fow. All on fresh cut Shad cast away from the boat. Fort Gibson Spoonbill

02-17-19: My trip for today reschudled to next month so Rick and I decided to make a quick trip this morning looking for some Spoonbill. We found them in about 35fow all stacked up. We didn't catch any females. We caught them trolling at about 4mph with dipsy divers. Water temp. is 42 degs. See my Facebook page for pics.

Oologah Fishing Guides report

02-05-19: Rick and I made a trip to Oologah today looking for some Spoonbill/Paddlefish and some Blues. We found both. We found the Spoonbill/Paddlefish  in 38fow while trolling with divers. Biggest Spoonbill was 50lbs. We found the Blues in less than 10fow. The biggest Blue was about 5lbs. all of the Blues were caught on fresh cut Shad. Water temp. varied depending on where we were at on the lake. The further we went N the warmer it was. Water temp. vaired from 39degs to 45 degs. See my Facebook page for pics.

lake Oologah

01-23-19: Keith and I made a trip to Oologah today looking for some Spoonbill and Blues. We found both. But it was so cold(22degs) we gave up pretty quick. We caught a nice Spoonbill/Paddlefish pretty quick then went Catfishing.  We found those pretty quick also, but we both decided it was to cold to clean fish. So after we caught some we left. We found the Spoonbill/Paddlefish in 40fow trolling divers going about 4mph. We caught the Blues in 25fow on fresh cut Shad cast out from the boat. Water temp. is 39degs. lake Oologah

01-17-09: I took James, family and friends to Oologah today looking for some Spoonbill and Catfish. We found them both. We trolled for the Spoonbill in about 35 fow. We caught some and they were all on the small side. We switched over to Catfish and found some of those also. The number were not real good but the size was. We caught  the Catcfish in 25fow all on cut Shad cast our from the boat. Water temp. is 40 degs. See my Facebook page for pics.

lake Oologah

01-16-18: Rick and I made another trip to Oologah today looking for some Spoonbill and hungry Catfish. We found the Spoonbill pretty quick, but the Catfish were not where they were yesterday and took four stops to find some. We ended up with about half of what we caught yeterday. The Spoonbill were caught in 35fow trolling drivers and the Catfish were caught in 25fow on cut Shad with lines cast out from the boat. Water temp is 40degs and lake is up about 5'. Big Spoonbill was 62lbs and big Catfish was 8lbs. See my Facebook page for pics.

lake Oologah

01-15-19: FISH ON!!!! Rick and I made a trip to Oologah Lake today to try and find some Blues. We found them. It startd out alittle slow and it took off like a Rockett. It was pretty much non stop after that. The size was really good today. Our biggest was 12lbs but we had several in the 8 to 10lb range. All were caught on fresh cut shad, with lines cast away from the boat. We were in 25fow close to a main channel. Water temp. is 39degs. See my Facebook page for pics.

Fort Gibson

01-13-19: Larry Keith and i made a scout trip to Fort Gibson today looking for some Spoonbill. We foound them grouped up in about 32 to 35fow. The ones we caught were all about 45 to 50lbs. There was alot of current today from the rains. Water temp. was 44degs. We were pulling divers going about 5mph.

Eufaula Lake Oklahoma

Rick and I made a trip to Eufaula today looking for some Blues. Our intent was to fish all day but we had some trailer trouble at the ramp so we only fished a few hours. We did catch some pretty nice ones in the amount of time we fished. We caught them on fresh cut Shad. Almost all came in about 12fow on lines cast out from the boat. Big Blue was 10lbs. Sooner Lake

01-06-19: We had a OK/Good day on Sooner Lake today fishing for Wipers. They were not in the deep water anymore. We saw some birds working over close to a bank and we went to investigate. We stayed  there most of the rest of the morning. Not very fast but just kinda steady. We had to adjust our fishing to all freelines. I put out freelines and then a couple planner boards. Big Wiper was about 5lbs with some more close behind. We caught all of our HYbrids in 10fow or less plus some pretty nice LMB. Water temp. was 52degs. See my Facebook page for pics.

lake Oologah

12-31-18: FISH ON !!!! Larry, Keith and I made a trip to Oologah today looking for some Spoonbill/Paddlefish and some Blues. We fouind both. We found the Spoonbill/Paddlefish fariley quick even though they weren't we they usually are this time of year. We caught some up to 52lbs and then decided to go look for some Blues. Our first stop we didn't get any in and we were in 18fow. Second stop we found a few in 15fow. Our last stop was the best and left thhe Blues biting in 8fow. Big Blue for the day was 10lbs with a few more close behind. We were usuing fresh cut Shad cast away from the boat. Water temp. is 43degs. See my Facebook page for pics.

Sooner Lake

12-18-18: Fish On. We had a Ok day today on Sooner Lake with Todd and friends. Just wasnt what we were use to. We caught several Hybrids, a few Catfish and several White Perch. Most of the ones that we caught werre on freelines. Some in 3fow and others in 25fow. Water temp. was from 49degs to 58degs. All were caught on live Shad. Beig Hybrid was about 3lbs. Sooner Lake

12-02-18:FISH ON!!! Another reel good day on Sooner Lake fishing for Hybrid/Stripers. Richard family and friends came from Kansas to enjoy some Hybrid action on Sooner Lake.  We found a good school right off and it was very steady for awhile. Then it slowed down and we went looking. We made a couple stops without finding any and then went back to close to where we started. We found them again and it started all over again. We ended up leaving them biting but not before we had boated 46 Hybrids. They were all caught on donwlines. We found the Hybrids in 24 to 26fow. Water temp. ranged from 51 degs to 58 degs. Big Hybrid was about 4lbs with a nice 8lb Blue also. See my Facebook page for pics.

Sooner Lake

12-01-18: FISH ON!!!! I went fishing for Hybrids today on Sooner Lake with Robin and Ed. It was a reel good day, with the exception of having to use two anchors to stay put because of the wind we had a reel good time. It started out with us catching the Hybrids in 24fow. Once that died down we moved up by the buoy line and got on the Hybrids again in 20fow. Nothing very big at all. All were caught on downlines(43) on live Shad. Water temp was 54degs and by the buoy line it was 60degs. Wind was blowing about 30mph. See my Facebook page for pics.

Sooner Lake

11-29-18: FISH ON:  Bob and I made a trip to Sooner Lake today to have alittle fun catchng some Hybrids. It took a couple stops to find the active feeders. After that it was just good and steady. We ended the day with around 25 Hybrids and a couple pretty nice Catfish. We caught most in 28fow all on downlines on live Shad. Water temp. was 54 and 60 at the buoy line. Big Hybrid was about 4lbs. big Catfish was about 6lbs. See my Facebook page for pics.

Sooner Lake

11-28-18: Fish On!!. Larry wine and I did a two boat trip today for Wounded Veterans of Oklahoma. Neither of us got to participate in the spring fish fest they had so we dedcided to do our own this fall. The fishing wasnt as good today as it had been but was still pretty good. It started out with nothing but White Perch. We made a couple moves and finally found some decent Hybrids. We stayed there the rest of the morning just pecking away at them. We caught a few nice Catfish mixed in also. At the end of the trip we both had caught around 25 Hybrids apiece, plus some decent Catfish. Water temp. was 57degs. We caught most in 25fow. Big Hybrid was about 4lbs, and big Catfish was about 6lbs. See my Facebook page for pics.
