Fishing Reports
September
Fished for three hours and caught about 12 fish. We had 10 Hybrids and some Sandbass. The biggest Hybrid was about 3lbs. They were really on the move. We had several doubles but only got acouple of them in. We would catch a few than they would be gone. All were cought on downlines in about 26 to 35 ft of water. The water temp was at 70deg.
Started out fast and ended slow. We caught six in the first hour, and then only acouple more after that. The fish were still there they just wouldn't bite. We ran around the lake looking for fish but ended up where we had started. There seemed to be lots of bait in the the area. Very little surface action. Water temp. was 74deg. and the fish we caught were in 32ft on downlines and a few on free lines.
Slow day. It started out slow and got alittle better. We ended up with eight fish and four of them nice Hybrids. They would hit real hard and then nothing there. We had several that just came off. We were mainly fishing in 32ft with downlines and a couple of freelines. I think we caught one fish on the freeline. We tried downrigging and caught two sandbass. It seemd like the bite got better the later it got. Water temp was 80. It could of been worse, but awhole lot better.
Went out for 3 hours and had a real good time. The weather was real nice
with a little overcast and the water temp. was at 82. We caught 15 fish with 11 of them being real nice Hybrids. The biggest was right at 5lbs, but we had several in the 3 to 4lb range. All fish were caught on downlines in 32ft of water about 20ft. down using small shad. The later the evening got the more the fish came in. Plus it was a very nice sun set.
FISH ON
Could of been better. But it could of been worse. We only caught 9 fish
but I didn't think that was going to happen for awhile. We fished the normal spots for awhile with no luck and could not find any fish on the locator. So we started downrigging and found a group of fish. We put out a bouy and started catching a few fish. We missed several and had a few up to the boat that just came off. They were really on the move. The biggest was about 3lbs. I think the weather may have them messed up alittle bit.
