Fish On!!! Fished for 3 days with good friend Steve Carroll and had a real good time. We were camping and it
was a little cool (22deg) one night but after that it was real nice for some winter time Striper fishing. We caught 23 real nice Stripers in the 3 days we were there. It took us a day to figure out the pattern. Usually in the winter time we catch them on planner boards and ballons. We didn't catch a fish on them this year. We changed tactics and started fishing downlines and started catching some real nice Stripers. The fish were hanging out in the channels in about 30 ft of water. They were real bunched up. At one point we had three in the boat at once. The smallest fish was 12lbs and the biggest was 16lbs. We took shad and goldfish and at one point the goldfish were catching more than the shad. The bite seemed to be best during the middle of the day. The water temp was 48 deg. And the lake is down about 7ft.
