FISH ON!!!!  Not quite as good as the last time, but it was still a good trip. We caught around 25 Hybrids. They were on the small side.  Most were between 2 to 3 lbs and all were caught on downlines in 28 to 32ft of water. It started out kinda fast and then it slowed down to just steady. It was a real pleasure to fish with a repeat customer and his family.  I would like to thank Major Emmons for his service to our country.

FISH ON!!!!  As my good friend Tony Hughes would say " We wacked em pretty good".  My long time friend Steve White and I finally got to go fishing together  again and we ended up doing pretty good. We started out catching some pretty small fish and kept moving around till we found some decent fish. They were really schooled up. We had to stay right on top of them to keep them going. There was a couple of times when we couldn't get all of our poles in the water. That would last for a while and then it would slow down as the school moved on. We ended up with somewhere around 40 fish. We just kept enough for a fish fry so we didn't get a good count. The biggest was 4lbs but most were 3 to 4lbs.  Most of the fish were caught in 28 to 32 ft. of water on downlines  and the lake water temp was 86deg. Plus it was 104 in the boat,  or just plain HOT.( I saw a dog chasing a rabbit and they were both walking!!)

A mixed bag day. We caught 15 fish but they were not all what we we were looking for. We did catch some Hybrids, but we also caught some sandbass and catfish also. We found plenty of fish but getting them to bite was a different story. The biggest Hybrid was about 4lbs, and the biggest catfish was about 5lbs.  The fish we caught were in 25ft of water and the water temp. is still 82deg. We caught them on downlines and freelines. It was a beautiful morning to be on the lake, and to enjoy it with a dad and his sons.

FISH ON!!     !What a great couple of days. Fished with my Dad, brother and nephews for a couple of days and had a real good time.  And we were lucky enough to catch some fish. Friday afternoon we caught 25 fish with biggest majorty being some decent Hybrids. Sat Morning we caught 10, with some of them being catfish and Sandbass. But we had some decent Hybrids also. We caught fish on downlines, freelines and cut bait. I did do quite a bit of chumming, but torwards the end of the day it didn't seem to mater. We caught most of ours on Friday from 6:30pm till 8:30pm. We were in 22 to 25ft of water and the temp is 82deg.

Skiatook Lake Oklahoma - Jul 08, 08

For the third time in less than a month my customers canceled after I got to the lake. So, with a full tank of fresh shad and the afternoon off again :), I went fishing. It was not fast and furious but I did manage some nice fish. The biggest was about 5 lbs. I fished in 22ft of water and the temp. is 83deg. Most fish came on freelines with split shot, using cut bait. The water is still falling and murky.
